French President Nicolas Sarkozy said on Monday a diplomatic push by the world’s powers to rein in Tehran’s nuclear program was the only alternative to “an Iranian bomb or the bombing of Iran.”
So there was UK to back Iraq, Spain for Afganistan and France for Iran. A United Europe supporting the United States.

What causes people to abandon an entire settlement, town, or even a large city? Here are seven amazing examples from the North Korea to Thailand, New Jersey to Japan, plus three honorable mentions. Some of these sites are illegal, making these photographs a rare glimpse of incredible ghost towns. One of them has been burning for over fourty years!
Does anyone know why these cities and towns have been abandoned?

The regulations in question effectively limit a bank’s funding exposure to one of its affiliates to 10% of the bank’s capital. The Fed has allowed Citibank and Bank of America to blow through that level – allowing them to lend up to 25 Billion to their subsidiaries. (approx 30% of capital) The move shows that the crunch is sapping even the big boys
Or another possibility is that the Fed is now sinking its fangs in and Citibank and The Bank of America are about to be snapped up by someone. Just a thought. One

Back in 2005, Pope Benedict was facing a lawsuit accusing him of conspiring to cover up the sexual molestation of three boys by a seminarian. So, he asks Bush to grant him immunity from lawsuits in the U.S., which Bush does. Classy.
